Filling a room for Privacy by Design
A brand-new LinkedIn page. A ticketed, application-only summit on India's DPDP Act. Two months to fill it. Here is how it went.
The challenge
Privacy by Design 2026 needed to reach founders preparing for the DPDP Act, as well as investors and enterprise leaders who would ask about their data practices. The LinkedIn page was new, the tickets were paid for, and the event date was fixed. Meanwhile, the speaker and partner rosters kept changing as the campaign ran.
One system, every format
I own the LinkedIn campaign end-to-end, creating 78 posts within a consistent content system. That made it possible to keep publishing as the agenda and roster changed.
- 01
One content calendar
One calendar took the page from awareness to conversion, step by step.
- 02
Verify every source
I read every partner's and speaker's own page before writing a word about them.
- 03
Repeatable structures
Simple caption templates kept the voice consistent, and no two posts opened the same way.
- 04
Format to intent
Static posts to announce, carousels to explain, video for energy, ads for reach.
- 05
One living document
Every caption, note and house rule lived in one shared document.
Across the two months, that produced:
- Awareness, agenda and conversion posts across the calendar
- 20+ individually researched partner announcements
- Speaker announcements and ready-to-post speaker captions
- LinkedIn ad copy for six ad sets
- Carousels, posters, the event key visual and motion graphics
- A bylined thought-leadership article for the host
Selected campaign creative.
What worked
- Partner and speaker announcements travelled furthest. Naming what each one brings gets them to reshare.
- Exclusivity beat information. Posts about who the room was for outperformed posts about the agenda.
- Event week drove discovery. Search appearances for the page jumped 164%.

What two months delivered
The room filled. On 18 September, 350 people came to the Radisson Blu Atria: 250 founders, 35 investors, and an ecosystem of more than 40 partners. My work was the LinkedIn layer that built the event's audience and kept the right people paying attention. Here is what that delivered.
All figures cover the two-month campaign, 29 July to 22 September 2026.
Paid bought reach. Organic bought engagement.
The only page that grew
During the campaign’s first 50 days, DPDP Zone was the smallest of four comparable pages and the only one to gain followers.
New follower rate, first fifty days.
Every partner, every speaker
45 partner posts and 16 speaker announcement films, each one researched and written individually. Tap any tile to see it full size.
